We took part in a range of activities today for World Maths Day including joining the ‘Live Mathletics Challenge’ using the iPads. It was so much fun competing against our classmates and with peers from all over the world. In the afternoon we got the chance to explore Izak 9, a resource designed to raise standards in problem solving, reasoning and fluency. P2 enjoyed meeting the new characters, Abacus and Helix, who introduced us to the cube resource and explained what we had to do. We worked in teams to complete a series of challenges using the cube - it was really fun (and quite tricky🧠). We are really looking forward to our next Izak 9 lesson and exploring the cube further.
