Primary 6 Celebrate World Book Day!

1st Mar 2018

What a blast we had in Primary 6 today to celebrate World Book Day. Many of us started our day by attending the reading breakfast in the assembly hall where we got to fill our tummies with lots of yummy food before having the chance to read a book with our parents.

Miss Holmes could not believe her eyes when we all came into Primary 6 this morning at just how fabulous all of our costumes were and just how much effort we had all put in. We spent the morning discussing each other's costumes and trying to guess who each person was. We also got to explore everyone's bags/boxes which related to their character, some of the items within these were fantastic and very original. After this we all got a chance to use the iPads to explore the World Book Day website and what a great website it was!

After break we had a brilliant treat, half of the class went to P1 and the other half went to P2. We got to see all of Primary 1 and 2's wonderful costumes and talk to them about their costumes/characters. It was fun seeing if the Primary 1's and 2's could guess who we all were, this was very tricky for them!

To end our World Book Day activities we played - Guess my character. We had to choose two characters from different books and come up with clues, the other boys and girls then had to try and guess who the character was from the clues. Some children made theirs very tricky and we even needed all 8 clues!

A brilliant day all round for Primary 6!
