This term Primary 3 will be exploring our new theme ‘Up, up and away’ where we will be looking at the history of air travel from hot air balloons to the present day. To date we are enjoying our book study ‘The Fantastic Flying books of Mr Morris Lessmore’ and finding out if books can really fly!! We have explored how hot air balloons are made and created our own, as well as writing our very own flight adventure stories. We have also been making the best of this stormy weather by designing kites and seeing just how high they can go in our playground! Mrs Ash feels a song coming on ‘Let’s go fly a kite’ (Mary Poppins).
