Primary 2 have had a wonderful day celebrating European Languages Day. We tasted food from a range of European countries – French breadsticks & Polish soft cheese was the definite favourite in P2. We learned how to count to 10 in French and explored how different languages are spoken throughout the European Union. Some of the children shared an item representing a European country during Show & Tell. Christina from Bonjour Amigos came to visit us after break and played ‘Dora the Explorer - Simon Says’ in Spanish which was so much fun. In the afternoon we celebrated the cultural diversity of the European Countries by working in pairs to create the flags of Poland, Sweden, France, Italy and Germany. A great day all around!
